LIPSTICK
When I used to go to the fair, it was with my grandma. She would put on a nice dress, paint her lips red, and order a taxi. She didn’t have a driver’s license and didn’t like taking the bus. But I was over the moon. My grandma did that especially for me, dressing up and ordering a taxi. So my visit to the fair was already a success.
Now that I’m older, I realize she didn’t do it just for me. She couldn’t exactly go out in her kitchen apron, as she wore that every day. But the fact that she put on a dress and did her makeup to go out with me: that was pure magic.
