BICYCLES
We share a garage with Cleo’s parents. Our shared bicycles are stored there. Ours on the right, theirs on the left. The bicycles tell our life story. For instance, there are two women’s bikes that clearly date back to before we had children: a bit rusty, not well-maintained, and not very sturdy. But getting rid of them, no, we won’t do that. We keep them as spare bikes, you could say, for later.
In addition, there are various children’s bikes in different sizes on our side. Can I get rid of them, I ask my boys? Maybe Cleo can ride them? No, no, mom, we want to keep them, we still ride them sometimes. For fun. And so, there are several not-so-well-maintained children’s bikes on our side. But on the left side of the garage, a life story unfolds as well, because slowly but surely, more bikes are added there too: Hello Sweeties! Is it the same for you? Or do you have this with other objects? I’m curious.
